Hero這首歌是在紀念Thin Lizzy的主唱bass手靈魂人物Phil Lynott (1949-1986)，
Phil Lynott於1986年因病魔侵襲而去世，他是Europe主唱Joey Tempest年少時的偶像，
也是因為他、在看過Phil Lynott的演唱會之後，Joey Tempest才決定當個搖滾歌手，

正因如此，所以Joey Tempest才會寫出如下的歌詞：
It's not like I wouldn't dream, if you had not shown the way……and gave me something to hold on to……when I was growing up you were the rock in my life……and gave us kids, a chance to dream……。

如果有看過Hero的MV的話，就會看到Phil Lynott的海報掛在牆上，同時在MV中扮演新一代樂迷的那個青少年
（牆上貼Europe海報彈 吉他的）就是Europe的keyboard手Mic Michaeli的兒子，果然非常有傳承意味啊！)
